Meeting people by interests: the shared interest isn't a "swipe," it's a shared text

Read plays online with a partner — in 5 languages: Русский · English · Español · العربية · 中文.

Meeting people by interests is usually understood as "find someone who also loves the mountains." Chitacle offers something else: the shared interest is created at the moment of the meeting — through a jointly read play.

What's wrong with a "shared interest"

Meeting people by interests rests on a hypothesis: if we share a hobby — we'll share a language. In practice this rarely works. The tag matches, the temperament doesn't. The hobby matches, but how you feel about the hobby doesn't.

In reality a shared language between people comes not from a pre-declared interest but from a shared experience. Even a short one, even a simple one — but lived together.

What Chitacle offers

Chitacle turns a shared experience into a way of meeting. You read a play by roles — that is already an experience. Forty minutes later you have a shared history: you lived through the text together, you were surprised together by a twist, you laughed together at a fumbled line.

That is a shared interest — not declared in advance but arisen in the moment. And it is more reliable than any tags.

Which interests Chitacle covers

Why this is better than an interest club

A club requires regularity, leaving the house, roles of "newcomer" or "veteran." Chitacle is a one-off meeting: you came, read, stayed to talk or said goodbye. No obligations, no "you have to come every Tuesday."
