How to Overcome the Fear of First Meeting

Read plays online with a partner — in 5 languages: Русский · English · Español · العربية · 中文.

How to overcome the fear of first meeting — a question to which the internet gives hundreds of template answers. Most don't work. What works is one thing: give yourself a ready-made form in which you don't need to "overcome" anything. That form is the play.

Why ordinary advice doesn't help

"Be more confident," "smile," "don't think about failure" — all this is advice for those who have no fear. For those who do, such phrases only strengthen anxiety: turns out I have to smile too.

The fear of meeting isn't a lack of confidence. It's a rational reaction to the absence of a form. When there's no clear structure of first contact, the brain works in "come-up-with-it-all-yourself" mode — and spends all its energy on this.

What Chitacle offers

Chitacle gives a ready-made structure. Not "how to be braver," but "here's what to do":

That's all. No "overcoming." No internal battles. A simple sequence of actions.

What's the point

You can overcome the fear of meeting in one way: get an experience of a successful meeting. Not theoretically, but in practice. Chitacle provides such an experience as safely as possible:

What changes after the first meeting

After the first meeting a new entry appears inside: "I can meet people." This entry erases much of the old: "I'm awkward," "I can't do it," "it doesn't work for me." It is the "overcoming of fear" — gentle, through experience, not through struggle.
