What "for adults" means on Chitacle

"Adults" here — about the audience's age and awareness, not physiological content. The 18+ mark designates only that we're aimed at established adults with their own emotional map — for those who've passed the "first time" stage and are now interested in something else: repeat meetings, long conversations, farewells, crises of a mature age.

Inside the plays — adult themes: relationships, passion, crisis, farewell, encounter. But not "adult scenes" in the physiological sense — that isn't here.

How adult reading by roles differs from school reading

School reading by roles is familiar to most. It's correct intonation and evaluation. The teacher listens, gives "a 4" or "a 5," and there's meaning in that — teaching.

On Chitacle everything is arranged differently:

• No teacher. No correct intonation, no evaluation. Two people read to each other — not to a viewer or a teacher.
• No preparation. The text opens the moment the curtain parts. This is cold reading: live reaction matters more than "correct" performance.
• The shelter of the role. You can say aloud what wouldn't sound in an ordinary conversation. Not from yourself — from the character. This removes the fear of the first line.
• Mutual conversation through text. What matters isn't the play itself, but what happens between you while you're reading it.

Why an adult needs reading by roles

Different scenarios — different adult needs:

• Literary encounter. A new form of meeting people — not a swipe, not a profile, not a like. The play as a unified form for first contact: the first words are already written, nobody has to "entertain" anyone.
• For a couple. Between you — a play. After the play — a conversation that doesn't happen otherwise. Especially useful for long-tenure couples when there's "nothing left to talk about."
• Against loneliness. A live voice across from you, an hour of shared presence — different from correspondence in a chat.
• In a specialist's work. A psychologist, teacher, or communication coach can join a client couple's partner reading as a viewer — see the dynamic without intervening.
• For long-distance friends. When you can't see each other often, an hour of joint reading brings back closeness.
• For yourself. An hour of literary time in which you're in a role — release from work and social roles.

Four modes — whichever is more convenient

• "Read now." The system searches for a partner by the given parameters right now. The meeting starts as soon as a compatible person is found.
• "Schedule a meeting." You choose the day, hour, and partner's gender — the system picks in advance and sends three theatrical bells before the meeting.
• "Read to me." You choose your role — listen or read. Partner of the opposite sex. This is a monoplay addressed to one person.
• "Read with a friend." A private reading via invitation link. You invite a specific person, optionally invite viewers.
