The trainer's main pain: the gap between sessions

The group meets once a week for 2–3 hours. In the session — exercises, discussions, feedback. Between sessions — theory in the head, but no live partnership on which the skill consolidates. By the next meeting half is forgotten; drill starts over.

Partner practice between sessions is traditionally missing in distance communication training. To sit down in Zoom without a structure by yourself — nobody does. A ready-made setting is needed that doesn't demand creativity from participants and doesn't depend on the trainer in the moment.

Partner reading of a play solves this task: two group members call each other, the curtain parts, they read a scene for 30–40 minutes, then discuss. The trainer either joins as a viewer or gets the material at the next session.

Format 1: Trainer-viewer

The trainer invites two group members into a pair. They create a private room in the "Read with a friend" mode, and send the trainer a separate viewer link. Connection in one click, no registration.

What becomes visible:

Unlike "tell me how your drill went" — the trainer has real material in hand, not a retelling.

Format 2: Trainer-partner

The trainer takes a role and reads with one participant. This is individual skill drill, especially useful:

Ready-made dramaturgy removes the trainer's task of "making up a scenario" — the text is written, the trainer is focused on working with the participant.

Applications by type of training

Тренинги коммуникации и переговоров

### Communication and negotiation training Scenes of confrontation, refusal, boundary defense, seeking compromise — the main material. Between sessions participants go through scenes in pairs; in the session they discuss their reactions and the partner's strategies. The trainer-viewer sees what really works in a live situation.

Тренинги активного слушания и эмпатии

### Active listening and empathy training A play requires the participant to hear the partner in the moment — otherwise the scene falls apart. It's the best listening trainer out there: it can't be simulated, only really listened to. The trainer sees who actually listens and who just waits for their line.

Тренинги лидерства и обратной связи

### Leadership and feedback training Scenes of making difficult decisions, giving feedback, holding position under pressure. The participant trains the leader's role in the protected form of "the play's character," gets feedback from the trainer or scene partner.

Актёрские тренинги и студии

### Acting training and studios Cold reading is a basic professional exercise. Partner readings between sessions accumulate mileage of partner work — what studios usually lack. The trainer-viewer observes tempo-rhythm, reactivity, holding the role, partnership.

Языковые школы

### Language schools The Chitacle interface is in five languages: Русский · English · Español · العربية · 中文. For Russian as a foreign language the format is ideal: two students read a scene by roles, the teacher-viewer evaluates pronunciation, intonation, and context understanding. After — discussion of vocabulary, idioms, cultural context.

How to organize a training cycle

This cycle turns the training from "a session once a week" into a continuous process where the skill grows between meetings, not only during them.

What's in the repertoire for training work

Frequently asked questions

Why does a trainer need the tool of partner play reading?
So participants drill skills in pairs between sessions — without the trainer needing to be in frame every moment. Two people read a play, bring living material to the next session. Training becomes a continuous process.
What are partner home practices between sessions?
The trainer gives an assignment to split into pairs and go through a scene on the topic of the current module. In the next session the participants bring observations of their reactions and the partner's reactions. Skill consolidation happens between meetings.
What is the "trainer-viewer" format?
The trainer joins the room of two participants via a separate viewer link. Sees how the pair applies what was studied in a live scene without preparation. Diagnostics of what consolidated and what stayed in theory.
What is the "trainer-partner" format?
The trainer takes a role themselves and reads with one participant — for individual drill. Especially useful after a general group session, before the client's real situation, or for beginners afraid to try with a peer.
Is the format suitable for acting training?
Yes. Cold reading is a basic acting exercise. Students accumulate mileage of partner work between sessions; the trainer-viewer observes tempo-rhythm, reactivity, holding the role.
What in the repertoire fits training work?
200+ plays. For communication — negotiations, confrontation, refusal. For acting training — duologues of different genres. For leadership — scenes of difficult decisions. CC BY 4.0 license — the play can be received as a file for group review.
